Ok, I have been given the opportunity to review a really cool product, the Potty Cover, that I wish I would have had when Bug and Super Dude were in the potty training phase, however, these are great even beyond that phase. I am going to write half of this review and then let my lovely kids belts assistant write the rest from the point of view of a potty training mommy.
Here is the description:
PottyCover is a disposable toilet seat cover for children that covers the sides and the front of the toilet, to keep away germs at public rest-rooms. It is made of non-woven fabric coated with a layer of plastic, creating a waterproof barrier between the toilet and the child. This product has the largest coverage of all seat covers on the market and for added convenience, each seat cover is individually packaged in a small, easy to open bag that makes it super easy to always keep one or two in a purse or a back pocket.
Here is my two cents…
These things are awesome, especially for a germ-conscious mom like me. I hate public bathrooms, no matter how “clean” they may seem, I walk in and see a breeding ground for creepy crawly germs. Ughhh… makes me shudder to think about it. That’s what makes these things so great, the whole germ infested toilet is covered. My sweet little kiddos don’t have to touch any part of it at all and no longer have to try and squat or hover or only touch the toilet paper that we have pointlessly tried to cover the seat with. I, now keep a few of these in my purse at all times. They even come in handy for me, like I said, I have a thing for germs. Now, I just need someone to come up with a door knob cover for when I leave the bathroom… that would be a dream come true…
Ok, so here is my opinion (Jen, the handy dandy assistant):
I love it. I have a 2 ½ year old (Moose) who is potty training and I was terrified to take him to the potty in public (he hasn’t mastered aiming, so he still sits) for fear that he will touch something and then immediately put his hands to his mouth. That grosses me out to even write about it. Moose is a heavy little guy (35lbs) so it’s too hard to try to hold him over the toilet and not get soaked in the process. With this cover I can plop him down and not worry about it. It even has a really long flap in the front so that I don’t have to worry about his legs, clothes or shoes touching the front of the toilet either. Another nice thing is that these aren’t just made of paper, the top is a woven fabric and the bottom is lined with a light plastic. So it doesn’t rip easily like the paper ones you find it restrooms and it creates a waterproof barrier between the seat and Moose. I am thrilled that they are individually wrapped so that they don’t get caught up on everything in my purse and I can grab it ad “go”.
So there you have it, we both highly recommend this to anyone with children and anyone who is just germ-conscious! What are you waiting for? Go stock up today! Or win it here!
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
Oh boy oh boy! I’m currently running my very first giveaway. (No, I’m not giving away Kids Belts.) It’s not going very well so far. It’s a short term contest that ends Friday at 9pm est, but that still gives everyone time to enter. Now to get them to enter…hmmm….
I submitted this contest to several giveaway websites but it doesn’t seem to be having any impact. I’m not sure if the problem lies in my lack of following or the prize value being to low. I am sure it’s mostly due to the lack of following. Not many people know I’m doing 30 posts in 30 days to promote our main business, selling Kids Belts. Those who do aren’t really interested in a contest unless I’m giving away $20,000. Which I’m not.
I’m thinking there must be a secret to this giveaway thing. Just like when I started selling Kids Belts 2 1/2 years ago, I was lost and overwhelmed by the (mis)information out there. How do you know what’s going to work? How do you what sites to submit to? I’m going to go have to pick some brains about this. I’ll get back to you.
Meanwhile, do yourself a favor and enter the giveaway!
I am a bit behind. Okay, that’s an understatement. I am extraordinarily behind. But thankfully I have patient friends, family, and business acquaintances – that are friends – I mean, who are we kidding. So I’m combining 2 posts about the same company because I owe them big time and I love them dearly.
This particular blog post, while not about Kids Belts, it is about another one of my favorite things, iPhone Apps, in particular, Kids iPhone Apps. Anything that keeps my kids occupied and not fighting makes me happy. Here’s the thing… My kids love these apps by Kiboomu and I’ve been meaning to post about the Old MacDonald app, just like I did with the Twinkle Twinkle Little Star app. Did you know that because of the Twinkle Twinkle app my son now can play the song on anything?
And now the Bug, my little almost 4 year old girl, is enthralled with the Old MacDonald app. She loves to sing along. She loves the animal noises. And she loves to play along on the keyboard. The super cool thing is that she can change instrument sounds. I’m definitely giving this app 2 really big thumbs up and 5 stars!
You know what else Kiboomu has? Just in time for Christmas 100 Christmas songs for just $5.99! If you were to buy these songs individually, you’d pay 99¢ each. So altogether you get $99 worth of music for less than $6. Wowza! That’s a 94% savings!!! Get it now while it’s still Christmas time. Your kids will love it!
This Just In: Kiboomu would like to give not 1 but 3 lucky winners BOTH the Old MacDonald app AND 100 Christmas Songs!!!
Do you wanna win or what? Okay, do one or all of the following:
- “Like” Kiboomu on Facebook and tell them “Common ¢ents Mama says Merry Christmas and Thank you for the Giveaway! http://wp.me/pVXiZ-9a“.
- Tweet “Old MacDonald had 100 Christmas Songs #GIVEAWAY on @DapperSnappers blog http://wp.me/pVXiZ-9a Thank you @Kiboomu! #CONTEST“
- Subscribe to my blog.
Each will count as 1 entry, so leave a separate comment with your email address and what you did to earn the entry. If you tweeted, please comment the link to your tweet. Contest is open to US and Canada. Contest ends Friday, December 10th, 2010 at 9 pm EST. Winners will be picked using Random.org.
So there you have it! Short but sweet. It all boils down to this; Kiboomu rocks!
