And now… I will share with you… the secrets of the WORLD!!!! Or at least the secret of an amazingly easy cheese dip that will be a hit whether you are eating it at home while watching a movie or you are serving it up at a get together.

You know me, I am all over anything that is:

  1. Easy
  2. Tasty
  3. Involves Cheese

This recipe is all of the above. You may have heard of it before, but my twist lightens it up a bit. After all, we are all trying to be a bit healthier in the kids belts office.

Spicy Sausage & Cheese Dip

Are you ready? Here’s what you need…

Yup, that’s it, just 3 ingredients.

1 – 8oz Package of Reduced Fat or Fat Free Cream Cheese (I promise you can’t tell the difference once it’s mixed in)
1 – Small can of Rotel Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies
1 – 1lb Package of Lean Turkey Breakfast Sausage

Place the thawed turkey sausage in a skillet and cook until it’s all browned. Drain excess grease (if there is any, it shouldn’t be much with the turkey sausage). Turn the heat down to low and add in the can of Rotel tomatoes & chilies and the whole package of cream cheese.  Stir until the cheese is melted and all of the ingredients are combined.

This dip goes very well with tortilla chips, club crackers, chips, ritz crackers, bread, a spoon, pretty much anything that will get it from the bowl to your mouth. It’s so simple, yet so good! The creaminess of the cheese cuts some of the spiciness of the sausage and the chilies. It has a little bit of a bite, but it’s not overwhelming.

Now, I must have some. Pardon me while I head to the kitchen.
