The Mama

Chelle, Common Cents Mama, and Inventor

Hi! My name is Michelle, but most people call me Chelle (pronounced “shell”…Call me Shelley and I may be forced to beat you). I’m old and have been happily married to Hubby for . We have 2 beautiful children; Super Dude is old and the Bug is old.  Aren’t they cute?

So now you know that I’m a Wife, Mama, Inventor…what else…hmmm…

Well, we moved from Hillsboro, Oregon to Port Orange, Florida about 1 1/2 years ago to be close to Hubby’s family. The changes have been interesting. Some cultural shock. Lots of warm sunny weather. Oh, and the best part is that we are 15 minutes from the beach. We go at least twice a week when it’s nice out. It’s a nice break…

I’ve recently started gardening again, and I compost. Unlike last years miserable excuse for a garden, I’m Square Foot Gardening. This year’s produce is sure to be spectacular!

I’m a Christian and I owe all my success to God. My favorite verse is 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8Love never fails.

To me, this passage defines love in all ways. Whether it’s love for your spouse, your children, your friends, your family…this is love.

I think that’s all I know for now. Have any questions? Email me!
